The Fake Date Blog Tour

The Fake Date
Nine hours and eleven minutes…
That’s how long it’s been since Ella Hope was beaten to within an inch of life and left for dead.

Was it the man she went on a date with the previous evening, the man linked to the deaths of two other women? Or somebody else, somebody who wants her out of the picture so much they’re willing to kill?
Whoever it is, they will pay … all she has to do first is survive..!

Website My Review This book had me gripped from the start. The first chapter is full of suspense and I just had to keep reading to see what was going on. I knew as soon as I started that I wouldn't be able to put it down until I found out what was happening. The first half of the story focuses mainly on Ella. Showing how she is recovering from her attack. I liked Ella she is trying to get her life back to normal following the horrific injuries she received during her attack. She has a new neighbour, Will, who was so well written and I was rooting for him from the start. He is a journalist and finds Ella's story interesting but he is also drawn to her for other reasons. Ella is quite a strong female character and is determined to do as much as she can for herself, she doesn't want to be brought down by what happened to her. She is on a mission to find out what happened to her and who the culprit is. Is it Rick as she believes, or is someone else involved? The second part focuses more on Rick the man accused of attacking Ella. He has lost his previous two wives apparently by accidents. I liked reading what was going on in the life of the man accused of such a terrible crime. Did his wives really die by freak accidents, or is there something more going on? I did kind of guess what was going on before the end, but this didn't take anything away from me enjoying the story. This is a must read for crime/mystery fans and I am looking forward to reading more of Lynda Stacey's work.
