I was asked by Buzz magazine to take part in their Fave Five Friday project, and I am exciting to join in. So here is my fave five book siblings list.
1. Michael and Maura Ryan- Dangerous Lady- Martina Cole
Martina Cole is my favorite author, and in this book I love the relationship between Michael and Maura. At first he is really over-protective and over-bearing towards her, but as the book progresses they develop a more equal relationship.
2. Ellie and Leo- The Back Road- Rachel Abbott.
This is a recent book I read, what I loved about these sisters was how well they knew each other. And how they could read each others moods. For example knowing when the other one wanted to talk/hug or when they needed space. They kind of remind me of me and my sisters.
3. Sadie and her siblings- Sadie was a Lady-Joan Jonker
Joan Jonker is another of my favorite authors. Sadie is abused by her mother and father,in the process protecting her siblings. Even when she makes a new life for herself away from her abusive parents she can never stop thinking and worrying about her siblings.
4. March Sisters-Little Woman-Louisa May Alcott
Probably the most famous book about sisters. I haven't read this book for years but the relationship between these sisters does stick with you. I like how they get along quite well considering how different they are.
5. Peter,Susan,Edmund and Lucy-The Lion,The Witch and the Wardrobe-C.S Lewis
What's not to love about this sibling relationship, having adventures with your brothers and sisters. I remember reading this book when I was younger and really enjoying it. It's just a brilliant children's story featuring siblings.
Well thanks for taking the time to read, and I look forward to posting my next Fave Five next week.
